香蕉直播 School District Joins Utah Department of Agriculture & Food and USBE in 鈥淔arm to School鈥 Initiatives Bringing Fresh Fruit and Veggies into School Cafeterias

It is a way to help educate students and their families on all the benefits of eating fresh fruits and vegetables every day. 香蕉直播 School District is proud to be part of Utah鈥檚 鈥淔arm to School鈥 initiatives, which support local farmers bringing local produce straight from the field to our cafeteria tables. JSD Nutrition Services staff work closely with local farmers to bring fresh food in and help the lunchroom workers learn how to use seasonal food picked fresh from local fields.

At Majestic Elementary School representatives from the Utah Department of Agriculture & Food and USBE, along with members of the media, were on hand as the cafeteria staff prepared a delicious free summer lunch. Part of the lunch consisted of fresh raw and cooked yellow squash from Bangerter Farm and chocolate chip zucchini muffins, made with Bangerter Farm zucchini. Serving fresh food is a great way to increase students鈥 exposure to locally-grown produce in Utah and encourage healthy eating habit that will last a lifetime.

Thanks to everyone behind the 鈥淔arm to School鈥 initiatives and JSD鈥檚 amazing Nutrition Services Staff for giving students opportunities to try delicious food fresh off the farm.

Custodians and Sweepers Hard at Work Over Summer Months Making Schools and Buildings Shine!

They are polishing floors, deep cleaning bathrooms, cleaning and resetting lockers, and making every inch of our schools and buildings sparkle. They are also out in the heat trimming, working on lawns, and perfecting playing fields. Take a minute out of your day to say thank you to custodians and sweepers who are hard at work over the summer months to make sure students and employees return to schools and buildings that are clean, well maintained, and welcoming.

These valuable employees contribute to the important first impressions in our schools and buildings, they lend a helping hand wherever they are needed, and they never miss a beat, even in the high summer heat. They are such an important part of the 香蕉直播 School District family.

Thank you, custodians and sweepers!
